Glitterspitter is a mesmerizing artist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who explores the boundaries of rock and indie rock. Glitterspitter makes music that engages with listeners on a profound level, with a distinct sound that blends raw energy and thoughtful poetry. Glitterspitter draws inspiration from the rich musical tradition of the United States, infusing their music with a rough, yet melodic tone that sets them apart. Their distinct approach to rock and indie rock demonstrates a mastery of instrumentals, with each chord and riff carefully designed to elicit emotion and engage the audience. Nylon Ghost consists of five band members that have been friends since high school and have played in various groups together over the years. After exploring different creative projects and genres, everything clicked in 2020 when they decided to officially form the band. In 2023, they released an EP featuring songs they had been developing since their formation. They kept that momentum going by immediately diving into the creation of their self-titled album, which dropped in August 2024. Recorded with Scott Stitzer at Studio North in Philadelphia (Go Birds!), the album serves as an expansion of the sound they first explored on their EP. For the band, this record represents the moment they truly found their identity. Their first single, "Takes Time," even earned a spot on WXPN’s Local Picks. While they are still growing and evolving, the group remains focused on having a great time along the way and hopes their audience does the same.
